At Queens Cheder Moshe Raya Mehemina, the Pre-1A class is nearing the end of the alef-beis! This past week, the boys focused on the letter yud – and found that many of their own names begin with that very letter: Yisachar, Yehoshua, Yonatan, Yehudah, and Yosef!
Students in Bais Yaakov of Queens experienced an incredible two-week Kibbud Av Va’eim program entitled At Your Service. The program combined daily lessons, together with fun and meaningful activities and contests. The school building was transformed into a modern, true-to-life café called “Café Kavod.” The aroma of coffee wafted through the air!
At MTA, the week leading up to Purim was truly incredible! From Jersey Day to shiur costumes to V’nahafoch Hu Swag Day, an epic Mini-Hockey tournament and Mishmar Madness, there was something for everyone!
This week, Dr. Douglas’s 7th and 8th graders took on an interesting experiment. They strived to discover the rate of growth that occurs in young children, and it was a fun opportunity to bring in our lower classmen to participate in the experiment.
The temperatures have risen, the days are now longer, and the Yeshiva University High School for Girls (Central) has been preparing for Purim with its typical festive spirit. As in years past, the holiday is an opportunity for students to break out their best costumes and celebrate together with a week of events.
