This week, Dr. Douglas’s 7th and 8th graders took on an interesting experiment. They strived to discover the rate of growth that occurs in young children, and it was a fun opportunity to bring in our lower classmen to participate in the experiment.
Our 7th Graders were tasked with measuring the arms, legs, and heads of the younger students, hoping to scientifically conclude and prove which young age experiences the most significant bodily growth.
The 8th Graders were tasked with checking the heartbeats of the younger students. As we grow older, our heart rate gradually slows. The 8th graders were curious to discover the difference in heart rate between each grade, as, though the children are within the same age range, there is still a difference.
There will be several more fun experiments and scientific ventures to come. Stay tuned!
