On Tuesday, May 28, students in YCQ’s Elementary School marked Lag BaOmer with Color War and a fun-filled day at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. Four teams in each grade participated in relay races, Kahoot trivia games, cheers, hakaras ha’tov speeches, divrei Torah, and other friendly competitions.

When North Shore Hebrew Academy High School students hit the basketball court for a game on a Sunday in May, the focus wasn’t on which team scored the most points. Instead, it was on unity. This was no ordinary game. The school hosted a delegation of about 20 players from Israel, all of whom had been impacted in some way by the horrific attacks of October 7.

MTA instituted the Yeshiva Fellowship program to encourage talmidim to take on extra learning and grow from the experience. This program requires real dedication and hasmadah to the talmid’s learning, and it is therefore not something that everyone feels comfortable taking on. The talmidim who commit to the learning do so on their own time, be it during lunch, night seder, Friday night learning in neighborhood shuls, or Shabbos day.

All educators want to make sure that their students leave their class or school armed with the tools they will need when they move on in life. On May 22, the faculty and administration at the Machon Sarah TAG High School gave a special gift to their seniors just a few weeks before graduation. This was not an external gift that they were given, but rather the gift of revealing treasures that lie within them.

As of this week, the Yeshiva University High School for Girls (Central) has given the world another stellar group of young women in the class of 2024. These seniors graduated on Wednesday, June 5, in Lamport Auditorium on the Main Campus of Yeshiva University, in Washington Heights.

The HALB sports club enjoyed a fun and exciting evening at the Mets game last week. As a special gift, the Mets gave them special hats that had an Israeli flag and read “Mets” in Hebrew. The teachers, parents, and students all had a great time!
