Ahead of Ateret Cohanim's Tuesday evening dinner, the Queens Jewish Link arranged for the group's global spokesman, Daniel Luria, to address audiences in Great Neck this past Monday evening at Great Neck Synagogue (GNS) to a packed venue, and a Queens lecture set to take place Wednesday evening, June 5, at the Young Israel of Queens Valley.
The Coalition for Jewish Values (CJV), representing over 2,500 traditional, Orthodox rabbis in matters of public policy, extended its commendation and gratitude to Secretary of State Antony Blinken for his commitment to work with Congress to sanction the International Criminal Court (ICC) and its officials. This came in response to the announcement by the ICC Prosecutor that he would seek arrest warrants against Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other Israeli officials.
According to the Baal Shem Tov, every physical desire in this world really contains an aspect of love of Hashem. When we experience a physical pleasure, it makes it easier to come to love the source of that pleasure. Great Neck Activist Dr. Paul Brody was recently named President of the Long Island chapter of the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA). In one of his first roles in this new capacity, Dr. Brody met with world Zionist leadership in Eretz Yisrael earlier this month. On May 2, at the Jewish Agency's Yerushalayim headquarters, Dr. Brody met Gen. Doron Almog, Chairman of the agency.
