The National Council of Young Israel (NCYI) last week thanked Jason Greenblatt, President Trump’s Special Representative for International Negotiations and Middle East Envoy, for his comments yesterday at a meeting of the UN Security Council (UNSC).
On Monday, May 20, I attended a rally in Manhattan about the deplorable anti-Semitic behavior of the current Democratic Party members. As I approached 48th Street and 7th Avenue with the rush-hour bustle of the midtown area, I was struck by the presence of a very large group of chasidish men and young boys blocking off the opposite side of the street from where the protest was gathered. Crossing the street gave me a bird’s-eye view of the large signs that seem to envelop the whole group.
On Sunday, May 19, 200 people gathered for a community symposium at Congregation Beth Sholom. “When Our Children Date: the complex role of parents” covered a wide array of topics from financial independence to building resiliency to sensible tips on networking for children.
Show Your Support For Israel At Parade And Ensuing Concert
The potential for a rainy Sunday has not dampened the excitement of the upcoming Celebrate Israel Parade that is the largest Jewish gathering outside of Israel. This year’s theme, “Only in Israel,” encourages the 250 participating organizations to design their banners and floats to highlight the unique aspects of the Jewish state. Its name is taken from an Israeli song authored by Ehud Manor with music by Nurit Hirsch.
The highly competitive race for Queens District Attorney is regarded as an indicator of nationwide discussions on criminal justice reform. Last week, high-profile activist Linda Sarsour gave her endorsement to Tiffany Caban, the public defender running on a decidedly leftist platform in the seven-person contest.
