One of the great success stories of the Yeshiva University High School for Girls (Central) athletic program is its hockey team. The Wildcats’ recent victory over North Shore – on Monday, May 5 – in which sophomore Annabelle Klein pulled off a dazzling hat trick, and sophomore Shira Mandelbaum delivered a rare shutout, is a testament to the resilience of a team that lost nine players to graduation last year.
This past week, MTA held unique chesed events in Bergen County and on Long Island. These events gave incoming and current MTA moms a chance to meet each other and spend a meaningful evening together. Everyone made mezuzos that will be sent to chayalim in Eretz Yisrael, and each one was a work of art!
This week, Bnos Malka Academy marked Yom HaAtzmaut with a heartwarming and creative assembly that focused on our deep connection to Eretz Yisrael: its beauty, meaning, and spiritual centrality to the Jewish people.
The HALB eighth-grade boys had the unforgettable opportunity to take a ferry from Battery Park to Ellis Island. After studying the immigration process in class, they brought history to life by walking in the footsteps of their ancestors. From viewing original artifacts to exploring exhibits dating back to the 1800s, the students gained a powerful, firsthand look at the immigrant experience that helped shape our nation.
On Wednesday, April 30 – Yom HaZikaron – students and faculty gathered in the auditorium for a solemn and meaningful tekes to honor Israel’s fallen soldiers and victims of terror, those who gave their lives in defense of our Homeland. The day’s events centered on the theme of sacrifice and remembrance.
