One Year
Dear Editor:
One year=12 months=52 weeks=365 days. When we refer to a baby’s first year, we joyously count the months when he/she turns over, crawls, takes the first step, or says, “Mama” or “Dada”. When we count the first year of aveilus, however, we count the first Yom Tov, birthday, Mother’s Day, or Father’s Day that the person isn’t with us.

Are you tired of our governor standing by and watching Hamas take control of our college campuses? Please join me and send an e-mail to www.governor.ny.gov/content/governor-contact-form (you can also get this just by Googling Hochul’s email) to tell Governor Hochul that we, the voters, are not okay with silence. We are not okay with the Governor’s idleness, and she must act now so that Jewish students are not harassed for being Jewish. We New Yorkers have had enough. We must take back our streets with our voices and our votes. We are strong. We are united. We are proud to be part of the Jewish family.
Deadly Power
Dear Editor:
“Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” One’s sense of morality decreases as power increases. It is not only that power corrupts, but the fear of losing power corrupts those who wield it. This is absolutely the state of President Biden, puppeteer by President Obama, Senator Schumer, and the majority of the Democratic Party. The Democrats are so desperate to retain power that they have abandoned all the beliefs on which this country stands and are willing to destroy our country to stay in control of the government.
Dear Editor:
I’ve seen a lot of criticism of the Democrats and President Biden regarding Israel. Some are warranted, some I feel are not, and of course some are just an attempt to score political points. But as all that goes on, you have former President Trump saying that Israel has to “get it over with” so they can “get back to normalcy and peace.” The only hostages he ever talks about are what he calls “the January 6 hostages.”
