Deadly Power

Dear Editor:

“Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” One’s sense of morality decreases as power increases. It is not only that power corrupts, but the fear of losing power corrupts those who wield it. This is absolutely the state of President Biden, puppeteer by President Obama, Senator Schumer, and the majority of the Democratic Party. The Democrats are so desperate to retain power that they have abandoned all the beliefs on which this country stands and are willing to destroy our country to stay in control of the government.

How can we trust anything the Democrats say when they have become so liberal and woke to the point where truth no longer exists, where a boy is not a boy unless he says he is a boy, where an obstetrician said that when he delivers a baby, he no longer tells the mother the gender of her baby for fear that if he tells her the physical gender, and it is contrary to what the mother wants the infant to be, he, the doctor, can be sued?

How have we allowed corruption in our society to reach the point that if you address a person by the wrong pronoun, you can be criminally charged? How can we allow a child who can’t decide which cereal he or she wants to eat for breakfast to have a gender change operation without a parent’s consent, and the government requires the insurance company to pay for it? All this to win the vote of the LGBTQ?

How have we allowed thieves to rob stores because our police are afraid to arrest them, and if they do arrest criminals, they go free anyway? How is it that if you try to remove a squatter from your property, it is you who goes to prison? How is it that our citizens are starving and homeless, but illegal immigrants are being given shelter, credit cards, and medical care?

How do we allow people to defile and tear down monuments of our heroes because they don’t like our history? How are we allowing Democrats to be so pro-abortion that a mother can abort her fetus up to the time of birth?

How have we allowed 11 million illegal immigrants to cross our borders, greatly increasing the likelihood of terrorist attacks and causing over 120,000 deaths so far this year due to Fentanyl overdose and giving rise to massive child and human trafficking? Additionally, how are we permitting Biden to fly in illegal immigrants with no requirement to show identification? And how are we allowing Biden to invite Gazans, whom every Arab country has refused to take in because Gazans are known to be raised with a terrorist mindset, to enter our country? The Democrats are opening the gates to the abominable, unjust, horrific code of Sharia law by which the Gazan Muslims live and freely rape, behead, and massacre those who disobey it? Instead of helping Israel eradicate this cancer and rid the world of the Hamas/Palestinians in Rafah, who are barbaric extremists, the Biden administration wants to bring them to our cities and have their warped beliefs and actions metastasize in our country, bringing death, destruction, violence, and chaos to our country as they have done all over the world and in every Arab country that ultimately expelled them. All this so that the Democrats can increase the electoral votes in states like Minnesota and Michigan to retain their positions.

Why did Biden stop America’s production of oil, thereby increasing the world’s dependence on Iranian oil, which badly hurt the American economy and gave Iran hundreds of millions with which to fund global terrorism? And why is Biden allowing these insane pro-Palestinian, anti-Semitic, anti-American, violent, destructive protests? Biden’s and the Democratic party’s need for the Arab American vote, and Obama’s love for the Arabs, is determining a sick, warped anti-American policy at home and abroad.

Biden is abandoning, threatening, and harming our greatest ally, Israel, while bolstering and aiding Iran and its proxies by funding terrorism rather than imposing sanctions and allowing them to attain nuclear capability. Biden is pushing for a ceasefire and allowing for the possibility of conferring Palestinian statehood as a reward for an inhumane genocidal attack by barbaric monsters who threaten to do it again and again.

It is pathetic that Biden and the Democrats cannot win the election by honest means, such as improving the economy, protecting our borders, and standing up to Iran, Russia, and China. It is pathetic that to win, they must bring down Trump with ridiculous, unconstitutional court cases, manipulate the justice system and the CIA, and control the press.

It is pathetic that in their quest for power, Jewish politicians such as Schumer and Blinken seem to have forgotten that no matter what their politics are or their lack of Jewish conviction, the sick anti-Semites will brand them as Jews and, just as the Nazis did in Germany, they can suffer the same fate as the six million Jews who were marched to the ovens of Auschwitz. They, too, only have one true homeland.

Of course, the joke will be on Biden, who is so desperate for power. Because come the convention, the Democratic Party will never allow him to be their candidate. They are liars and self-interested connivers, but they are not idiots. They know Biden has severely diminished capacity. They know he is not respected in the US and certainly not on the world stage. Presently, he has the title and is following the script and reading the monitors (as best he can), and they are managing the media, but he is just the pawn.

People may rightly be frustrated and even abhor Donald Trump’s often immature, silly, vengeful way of speaking, but if we want a normal democracy, a rebirth of sanity, peace in our cities, on our campuses, and in the world, a return to good values of justice, family, and religion, commendable morals, and a strong economy, President Donald Trump as our Republican nominee is our only hope.

Dear Editor:

I would like to respond to Rabbi Schonfeld’s statement about Biden’s recent anti-Israel policies. He appears to attribute it to naivety. I respectfully disagree. It is far more sinister than that. I recently saw a viral video that explains what is really going on.

The video exposes two White House officials who are responsible for this sudden anti-Israel stance. One is Maher Bitar. He is the Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Intelligence Programs on the White House’s National Security Council staff. Bitar is a virulent anti-Semite who supported many of the Hamas riots on college campuses. Bitar also worked with the UNRWA, which participated in the October 7 genocide.

The other is Jonathan (Jon) Finer. He is the Deputy National Security Advisor of the United States. He is a self-hating Jew who wanted all aid cut to Israel immediately after October 7.

Recently, Biden has been following their directives. He has cut military aid to Israel and transferred funds to Gaza, which will be used by Hamas. He has supported a resolution in the UN that calls for a ceasefire without first demanding that Hamas release the hostages.

Biden has stated that he is against anti-Semitism, but he is also against Jews who are not concerned with the plight of the Palestinians. This is a moral equivalence between the thugs who are committing violence against Jews in the college campuses to the Jewish victims.

Biden has also supported the Hamas blood libels against Israel by stating that Israel is targeting civilians in Gaza.

I have a message to Warren Hecht and other Jews who still vote Democrat: Wake up and smell the coffee. Any Jew who votes Democrat is suicidal.

Lyin’ Biden

Dear Editor:

Recently, in several TV interviews, Joe Biden told a bald-faced lie that inflation was 9% when he came into office. In actuality, it was at 1.4%.

Now, lying is nothing new for Biden, who throughout the years has claimed to have been raised in the Black community and the Hispanic community and the Polish community, was arrested while marching for civil rights, took Amtrak daily with “Angelo” the conductor despite Angelo passing away 17 years before the alleged timeline, he got cancer from growing up with oil slicks on his car windows caused by Delaware pollution, his uncle was eaten by cannibals, he was a truck driver, a star football player, he graduated college with three degrees, then graduated the top of his law school class, regularly attended synagogue, mosque, and a black church while growing up, and gave a neighborhood bully named “Cornpop” a beatdown while he was a lifeguard at an all-Black pool. Of course, none of these fantastic claims are true, but a member of the press asked White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre about his 9% inflation claim upon entering office.

Jean-Pierre is a diversity hire, and since she can lay claim to the triple crown of intersectionality (black, female, gay), she cannot be fired despite being awful at her job. She proceeded with perhaps the greatest self-own in White House Press Secretary history. She admitted that inflation was not 9% when Biden took office, “but the factors that caused inflation were already in place when Biden took office.”

If we take what she says at face value, then despite all the factors for out-of-control inflation being in place, Donald Trump still kept it below the Federal Reserve’s target rate of 2% inflation. And inflation only reached a 40-year high when Biden’s ludicrous financial policies were implemented.

If Trump were wise, he would have this moment cut and played on a loop in all his campaign ads from now till November.

Mainstream Media and Democrats Are One and the Same

Dear Editor:

President Biden accepted Donald Trump’s debate challenge this week and, within about five minutes, we had the dates of the debates, the stations, and the moderators announced. For context about how strange that is, the details of Presidential debates are something that normally takes months of negotiations between the sides to complete.

At this point, anyone who doesn’t believe the media are working in cahoots with the Democrats, serving as their public relations department, probably also believes Covid came from a wet market, the Hunter laptop was Russian disinformation, and professional wrestling is real.

Response to Jason Stark

Dear Editor:

Mr. Jason Stark raised some thought-provoking issues in last week’s QJL. He wonders why all the Biden supporters have been silent of late, and why no one will admit mistakes re: Covid and the so called “vaccine.”

Regarding Biden, it was a lot easier to support him when he was just an antidote to Trump, playing the role of a harmless, senile old man, whom his operatives falsely marketed as a politically moderate candidate. Most Jews are Democrats and were fine with this. Jewish Democrats were still mostly on board with Biden through all the domestic and foreign policy debacles of the last three years. It was only when they were being attacked for being “colonizers” and “oppressors,” with Democrats either standing by silently or joining in the fray, that they found out the hard way that they were politically homeless and unwelcome within the ranks of the Democratic Party. This uncomfortable realization was jarring and not something I would imagine Jewish Democrats would enjoy addressing in a public forum, especially without what they would consider a viable alternative to the Democratic Party. Regarding Mr. Stark’s obvious reference to Warren Hecht, it’s unrealistic to expect Mr. Hecht to criticize Biden, as we saw in last week’s column, where he almost excuses Biden’s atrociously pro-Hamas actions as one of many adverse actions taken by US presidents against Jewish people.

With respect to Covid, there’s a reason no one wants to admit the obvious. Take the simplest example of parents who followed the “experts” and injected their children with an experimental vaccine only to find out later that it was useless in preventing Covid and potentially had some very serious side effects. It’s much, much easier to maintain the facade of “trusting the experts” and “following the science” than it is to confront reality and admit you injected your child with a substance that had no upside and only assumption of unnecessary risk. I would imagine it’s even more difficult to admit the obvious, if G-d-forbid, a child suffered any harm from a parent’s decision to inject him or her. Just to be clear, I am not judging those who “vaccinated” their children with the Covid shot.

I am, though, very much in favor of hard truth-telling, learning from mistakes, and not repeating them. One needn’t be a medical professional to conjure up some healthy skepticism over a product that normally takes ten years of research to bring to market hitting the market in a matter of months. It would be a public service if the people harmed by their reliance on the so-called “experts” spoke up now about their experiences. It might empower other potential victims in the future from being bullied into taking experimental products marketed by charlatans as “safe and effective” when in actuality they are neither safe nor effective.

As for Mr. Stark’s complaint about the lack of an apology or any clear retraction for the failures of our community leaders during the Covid pandemic; this is directly tied into the silence of those who were victimized by them. If the people who were ostracized and segregated for their failure to inject themselves with an experimental medical procedure or refusal to mask their four-year-old are silent, those who perpetrated these outrageous mandates are more than satisfied to sweep it all under the rug and pretend it never happened.

Math Problems

Dear Editor:

Math Alert! This is addressed to all you third graders who read my letters. Okay, none of you are replacing Harry Potter with my writings, so I am talking to no one in particular. Nevertheless, I want to underscore the importance of learning short division. (For long division, just use a calculator.)

Counting S’firah turns out to be a problem for the mathematically challenged people like me. For instance, it might take me an hour to figure out how many weeks and days 32 turns out to be. (Okay, smarty pants – 4 weeks and 4 days.) Yet, S’firah isn’t the only counting I do. I also count the number of days from Purim to Pesach so that I don’t totally freak out about my cleaning schedule. I also count the number of meals I have to make for a three-day Rosh HaShanah and three-day Sukkos. How many briskets is that?

The other day, I asked my son-in-law, who is Canadian and Israeli, how many shekalim there are to the dollar. Once there was a point, like 3.8, I zoned out. Then I asked him the relationship between the US dollar and the Canadian dollar, and how much gas cost in Toronto. Once he gave me percentages and said the word “liter” instead of gallon, my brain shut down.

My math problems extend to my E-ZPass account. Why do my kids have to live in New Jersey and not Long Island or Brooklyn, where there are no tolls? Instead of figuring out what the RFK Bridge and the GWB cost round trip, I just deposit a boatload of money into my E-ZPass account. Likewise, I have trouble figuring out how many hours it would take me to drive to Miami if I drove five hours a day at 60 MPH. Take a plane, Debbie!

Someone Is Putting Up ‘Free Palestine’ Stickers in KGH

Dear Editor:

The other day, my mother saw a young woman walking from the direction of Queens College and putting up stickers on traffic control boxes and other public spaces. When I went with her to see what the woman had put up, we saw that two “Free Palestine Stop Genocide” stickers had be placed on the traffic control box on the corner. This was not the only place she had put these stickers.

Many young college students do not know what they are really saying when they say “Free Palestine.” They want to change the world and ignorantly think that they have found a good cause. There has to be a real effort to educate college students on the real facts of the situation.

Surely You Jest

Dear Editor:

I read the recent letters by fellow readers Daniel Behar and Jason Stark and could not help but wonder what they thought about our president not vetoing almost two dozen anti-Israel UN resolutions, including one that condemned a recent attack. They must have been livid when he also suspended the delivery of advanced F-16 fighter jets to Israel. And they must have been outraged when Israeli forces advanced, and our president responded with an angry call to the Israeli Prime Minister demanding a halt to the operation.

They must have been very angry when our president did all of this to betray our ally, Israel.

One problem.

It was President Reagan who did all of these things. And don’t worry, similar actions were taken by Pappy Bush and W. And Trump gave away Israeli secrets to the Russians.

While Trump has publicly repeatedly stated that he intends to be a dictator, Daniel had the gall to refer to President Biden as King. As to successes, I dare the Queens Jewish Link to publish the list of 50 accomplishments by President Biden I have put together. They included the American Recovery Act that prevented the layoffs of first responders, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Act that is rebuilding our roads and pipes, the CHIPS Act that is returning us to world leadership in the manufacturing of computer chips, and the Inflation Reduction Act that has cut core inflation to near zero while investing in projects that hopefully keep our homes on Long Island from being swallowed by the Atlantic Ocean due to climate change, as well as the PACT Act that truly honors our brave veterans as we approach Memorial Day by paying for their military-related illnesses.

Meanwhile, all of the stock indices are at record highs. Trump predicted in 2020 that President Biden would lead us into a depression. Instead, Bidenomics has resulted in almost doubling the Dow, which just hit 40,000 (increasing the value of our 401Ks) as well as having the lowest unemployment for the longest time ever. Under President Biden’s leadership, new business applications have reached record highs, wages are growing faster than inflation under the most pro-union president ever, and the US is pumping more oil than any country ever has. And by the way, the crime spike under Trump (no, I’m not talking about the 88 felony counts he faces in every city of the NL East except Philadelphia) has been cut under President Biden.

As the Old Professor Casey Stengel said: You can look it up. Or to quote the late great Daniel Patrick Moynihan: You are entitled to your opinions, but you are not entitled to your facts. The facts are clear that President Biden has had the most successful first three years of any president in living memory.
