Dear Readers,
Over the years, we have published a number of letters in this paper regarding changes in the demographics of Kew Gardens Hills and its surroundings. Two weeks ago, we published a letter on this topic that received tremendous backlash. Many from both Bukharian and Ashkenazi backgrounds alike were offended by its contents. We were mistaken to publish that letter, and I apologize for that oversight.
Dear Editor:
It took weeks for my wife and children to stop talking about the first time Goldy published this article. Here we go again. People should do what’s best for them and not drag everyone into their life decisions. It’s like the people who post every conversation they have with a Starbucks barista who gets their name wrong. Who cares?

I was appalled to read the letter from Anonymous who opines that people are moving out of the community because “Bukharians are moving in by the droves.” How tragic that she spews such sin’as chinam right before the Three Weeks.

Did you hear the one about the man who married five half-sisters, one after the other, after hearing that the previous one had died? To top it off, he later learned that the first one was alive, and he had to divorce two of his wives. That’s the insider’s way of asking whether you’re keeping up with Daf Yomi – the example here is last week’s Y’vamos 96.

As a sensible, pragmatic, proud member of the Republican Party, it quite was disturbing to read Moshe Hill’s clueless justification for doing nothing to enhance gun safety legislatively.
