Your secrets are safe with me…and all my friends. Uh, oh. Do you value privacy? If you do, then social media and reality TV have a rude awakening for you. Posting personal problems on Facebook and sharing intimate photos of your fam on Instagram are just a day in the life.

You’re trying to take one day at a time. But sometimes several days attack you all at once. You always dreamed of that perfect job, and you just never got it. You wanted a family so badly, but you haven’t even met your Prince or Princess yet. Maybe your prince is coming on a turtle instead of a white horse. Sigh. Things are not going exactly as you had planned. You feel like you’re in Season 4 of your life; and the writers are just doing outrageous things to keep it interesting. Good grief.

So what is your definition of a good person? Someone ethical, who lives a moral lifestyle? And what exactly is that anyway? Trust me on this one. If you wish to lead your best life, being “good” is the way to go. Happy people build their inner world, not just their outer world.

Every morning when you get up, you check the list of the 100 richest people in the world, and you’re still not on it. Groan. Day in, day out. Got up, brushed your teeth, got the kids ready, off to work, and back home again. Do you feel alive? I know, you’re living; but how alive do you really feel?

Hey buddy, would you like to learn mindfulness? Nope…Why not? Mind-ful-ness. That’s crazy...My mind is full enough already. Sound familiar? You’ve been overthinking about overthinking again, haven’t you? You don’t think inside the box. You don’t think outside the box. Heck, you don’t even know where the box is.

“Are you taken?” Me: Yes. “Taken for granted.” Ouch. So you did a kindness and not only did she not notice; she never really thanked you. You offered him a ride which was out of your way. He accepted, and then barely mumbled an inaudible “thank you” when you dropped him off. Speaking of which, did you ever mumble the bits of a song you don’t know; then scream the chorus with all you heart. Me, too. Okay, so you wore that brand new outfit to the wedding, but felt completely invisible anyway. “I’m not asking to be admired or even cherished; but can someone at least appreciate what I do around here once in a while?” Sheesh. Do you wonder if what you do for others is even worth the effort?
