TAL Academy held an information session for professionals and prospective parents on Sunday, January 7. Many gathered at TAL to hear about their innovative, research-based program and to tour the facility. TAL is a new Yeshiva elementary school for bright children who have a diagnosed Language Based Learning Disability such as dyslexia. TAL opened in September with 18 children in 3 cohorts in grades 2-4. The information session program featured presentations by TAL principal Mrs. Sara Taib, Kriah Director Mrs. Brocha Kresch, and Dr. Lydia Soifer, the TAL Language and Methodology Consultant. Mrs. Taib kicked off the program by explaining who is a TAL student is and what the TAL program does.

MTA held its annual Dinner of Tribute last week at Marina Del Rey, and it was a tremendously successful event! With a packed room and a meaningful program, the entire MTA community felt proud of their yeshivah. In these troubling times, it can be difficult to balance the celebratory mood of a dinner with the current situation in Eretz Yisrael. In order to maintain proper balance, MTA paid special tribute to their alumni who are currently serving in the IDF. Several of the soldiers’ parents were in attendance and appreciated the yeshivah’s efforts in davening for and highlighting their children at the event.

Throughout this month, the preschoolers at Yeshiva Sha’arei Zion have been exploring the unit of clothing. In a heartwarming display of appreciation and creativity, our young learners recently undertook a thoughtful initiative to express gratitude toward the dedicated school workers who proudly don uniforms.
