For many of the top students at yeshivah high schools all over the country, YU National Model United Nations (YUNMUN) is the climax of their year, a time to test their knowledge and skills against the best. Each school is assigned one or two countries, and its delegates are assigned each to one UN committee. The goal of the Model UN is to seriously address issues of concern in the world, work together with delegates from other countries, and pass resolutions designed to solve or at least mitigate the world’s problems.

The Bnos Malka Academy Annual Middle School Education Fair once again did not disappoint. The students showcased their research, knowledge, and creativity with elaborate Tri-Board displays. Covering the states, countries of the world, and fascinating scientific inquiry, the judges had a difficult time determining the best in each category.

The month of February is one of positive awareness at Yeshiva University High School for Girls (Central), a time in which health and safety – how we can care for our own, and that of our community – takes precedence. On Wednesday, February 14, Central infused the day with meaning, participating in Sharsheret Pink Day, coordinated in part by Central’s Pink Club. Helmed by sophomore Ellie Gross and senior Gabi Zahavi, Pink Club is a beloved Central endeavor with a focus on breast cancer awareness and advocacy.

…97, 98, 99, 100! The Pre-1A classes at Yeshiva Tiferes Moshe celebrated their 100^th day of school, and boy did they have fun with many exciting 100-day activities. To start, both classes released 100 colorful balloons into the sky and watched in amazement as they disappeared into the clouds. Then, the boys strung 100 fruit loops on a necklace, made 100-day hats, and wrote about 100. They also enjoyed 100 delicious snacks!

Rabbi Wagner’s Sixth Grade talmidim at Yeshiva Tiferes Moshe enjoyed the snow storm this week and built a snowman in front of the yeshivah. It was great watching the teamwork by all to get the snowman together!

This week, the third grade students of Bnos Malka Academy gathered for a special occasion: the third grade Rashi Breakfast. The students have been honing their Rashi skills this year and have made great strides in being able to read Rashi and understand Rashi’s questions and answers. To celebrate, the students had a yummy breakfast and were thrilled to hear Rabbi Avi Matmon, an amazing storyteller, share stories and talk about how Rashi helps us fill in the missing blanks when we learn Torah.
