This past Sunday morning, the MTA Math Team, led by math teacher Ms. Newborn, traveled to Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, to compete in the Math Majors of America Tournament for Jewish High Schools (MMATHS). Schools from across the country – from Texas to Florida to New York – faced off in both team and individual competitions.

TAL Academy hosted its first-ever Literacy Week, February 10-14, bringing excitement, creativity, and a love for reading into every classroom. From surprise guest readers to visits from renowned authors, students were immersed in a variety of engaging activities designed to foster a lifelong passion for books.

This past Wednesday, Bnos Malka Middle School hosted an inspiring showcase of student learning and research. Over the past few months, students diligently worked on projects that culminated in an impressive academic exhibition.

This past Wednesday, the Rambam Masmidim were treated to a trip to Yeshiva University with none other than Rambam Rosh Mesivta, Rabbi Avi Herschman accompanying them.

On Monday, February 10, HALB held its seventh annual HALB History Day, part of the prestigious National History Day competition. National History Day is a nationwide event in which more than half a million students participate each year, showcasing projects that examine historical events in relation to a national theme.

This week, the 3rd grade students of Bnos Malka Academy gathered for a special occasion: the third grade Rashi Breakfast.  The students have been honing their Rashi skills this year, and have made great strides in being able to read Rashi and understand Rashi’s question and answer.
