On a recent Motza’ei Shabbos, January 25th, a record was broken in the Jewish world of music. Ticket sales were launched for an unforgettable concert, a night of music, inspiration and energy with Shaindy Plotzker at Brooklyn’s palatial 3,250-seat Kings Theatre. But anticipation ran so high that tickets were live for just two and a half hours… and then they were gone. “By 9:45 PM that night,” says Eli Gerstner of the legendary EG Productions, “I was getting desperate messages that people were trying to book and the theatre was completely sold out.”

On Motza’ei Shabbos, March 1, HALB celebrated its legacy of educating children for 70 years! The evening paid tribute to Paul Peyser a”h, one of HALB’s founding members, and the entire Peyser family, who very generously dedicated the Paul Peyser Auditorium in his memory.

This past Sunday, March 2, the Yeshiva of Central Queens (YCQ) hosted its 84th Annual Scholarship Dinner at Da Mikele Illagio, bringing together the YCQ family for an evening of unity, gratitude, and celebration. The event honored exceptional individuals who have made a lasting impact on the school while raising vital funds for its scholarship program.

There, they saw Jewish artifacts geared toward the story of Purim and learned about the garb of the Kohen Gadol with museum tour guide Rabbi Shaul Shimon Deutsch.
