Last week, students from the Yeshiva of Central Queens ventured out of the classroom for a series of engaging and educational field trips across the city and beyond. These excursions are a vital part of the YCQ curriculum, designed to provide immersive, hands-on learning experiences that connect directly to their studies.

The YSZ 3K and UPK Open House was a day bursting with excitement, laughter, and hands-on discovery! Parents and children explored our vibrant classrooms, interacted with engaging curriculum, and experienced the joyful energy that fills YSZ every day.

Our Rosh Chodesh girls’ program, Muffins and Meaning, was a warm and inspiring way to start the new month together. Students enjoyed delicious muffins and hot cocoa while reflecting on themes of renewal and personal growth.

At Rambam 25 students and faculty came together for the Rambam Writers’ Guild! Over 30 pages of original, creative works were written based off of the Prompt: “You wake up on top of a building and you don’t know how you got there.” Stories ranged from epic fantasies, to meditations on mortality, parenting, and Jewish diasporas. Senior Guilderbeast, Rafi Taubenfeld and junior Guilderbeast Bezalel Graber led the discussions and author reveals. Copies of last year’s Writers’ Guild publication, The Edgar Allan Prose, were also distributed and the young writers enjoyed the discussion and delicious Carlos and Gabby’s dinner. Next month’s Prompt is “The Locked Door.” Stay tuned for more stories!
