Seniors in MTA’s Names, Not Numbers Holocaust Documentary elective participated in a meaningful lunchtime assembly with a special guest. Jeff Salgo, a retired CBS News Producer, shared best interviewing practices he developed over more than 35 years in broadcast journalism. His goal was to help students prepare for their upcoming interviews with Holocaust survivors.
YTM recently celebrated a significant milestone with its fifth grade Haschalas Gemara event, marking the beginning of formal Gemara study for its young talmidim. Throughout the start of the school year, the fifth grade boys diligently prepared for this occasion by learning about the foundations of Gemara and Torah She’Baal Peh, guided by their devoted rabbeim and menahelim.
The new z’man at Yeshiva Tiferet Tzion boys’ mesivta began with a strong sense of purpose as talmidim returned with enthusiasm for learning, personal growth, and connection. From the first days back, the yeshivah has been filled with the steady hum of Torah and the warmth of a true yeshivah family. Menahel Rabbi Moshe Aharonov noted that both returning and new students have settled in smoothly and are already contributing to a productive and uplifting environment.
The excitement was palpable as families filled the beis midrash for MTA’s annual Open House, themed “Ahead of the Curve, Connected Across Community.” The evening began with inspiring remarks by Rabbi Daniel Konigsberg, Principal, Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman, President of Yeshiva University, Rabbi Michael Taubes, Rosh Yeshivah, and Rabbi Shimon Schenker, Menahel. Each shared the yeshivah’s vision of Torah excellence, academic growth, and personal development, reflecting MTA’s mission to provide education, uncompromised.
