One crucial aspect of the positive culture found at the Yeshiva University High School for Girls (Central) is establishing and maintaining strong relationships. And one of Central’s most important relationships is with its parent institution, Yeshiva University. Central is a distinct, diverse extension of YU, working hard to honor the university in its mission, its identity, and its planning for the future.

To celebrate Rosh Chodesh Adar, YSZ welcomes new Early Childhood students with a puppet show!

The 4th and 5th Grade Girls at YCQ recently had the special opportunity to hear from local author Susie Garber. Students learned about how she became an author, her writing process, and the Jewish values she incorporates into each of her books.

Students at SINAI at YCQ enjoyed celebrating Purim 5784 with costumes and carnivals, and the special addition of a trip to the SPYSCAPE museum in Manhattan!

The Nikolsburger dynasty is steeped in chinuch. In Kew Gardens Hills, a new Rabbi Jungreis has taken over the helm of a special Pre-1A class at Yeshiva Ketana Zichron Chaim U’Bina of Queens. The boys enjoyed many recent activities, playing together as teamwork and sharing skills were mastered. The talmidim even had the opportunity to feverishly dance in a leibedik circle with their Menahel and Principal, Rabbi Benjamin Kessler, in honor of the chag.

The month of Adar at MTA has been incredible! Starting with a Freshman overnight, grade trips for Sophomores and Juniors, and a very special Senior day trip to Connecticut, complete with a visit to the Yeshiva of Waterbury, there has been a wide array of special programming. In addition, last week, MTA hosted their annual rebbi-talmid game that was enjoyed by everyone (and won by the rebbeim for the third consecutive year!).
