Over a year ago, the YCQ gym experienced a sprinkler malfunction, which led to unexpected flooding. At the time, YCQ used all available resources to dry and clean the space, unaware that moisture had seeped beneath the tiles and remained there undetected. Unfortunately, it wasn’t until the floor began to lift that the true extent of the damage was discovered.

The fourth graders at HALB spent the day at Jones Beach to study the wind. Learning in the classroom is fun, but getting outside to experience it is even better!

While the students of TAL Academy enjoyed a day off on Veterans Day, TAL (Torah and Language) Academy faculty took a turn sitting on the other side of the classroom for a day of staff development. It was especially exciting, as TAL welcomed the teachers of HANC’s (Hebrew Academy of Nassau County) lower elementary department to join in an important, collaborative program.

An overflow crowd of parents of Yeshiva Tiferes Moshe talmidim joined for a gala melaveh malkah on Motza’ei Shabbos, November 2. The program, held at the Young Israel of Kew Gardens Hills, featured a lavish dairy buffet catered by Simchas Gourmet and a sushi bar prepared by Eden Wok of Westchester.

 Last week, Lev Chana students built Avraham’s tent to better understand the parshah and how Avraham and Sarah did hachnasas orchim!

Yeshiva Tiferes Moshe’s fifth grade boys spent the beginning of the year preparing for their Gemara mesibah, including studying the background of Gemara and Torah SheB’al Peh.
