More than 800 talmidim, parents, rebbeim, families, alumni, and friends joined MTA to celebrate the learning accomplishments of all talmidim at its annual Yeshivah-Wide S’udas Preidah and Siyum. Held via Zoom on Thursday, June 4, this exciting event featured siyumim made by MTA talmidim on three different masechtos, a musical performance by Baruch Levine, divrei brachah from Rav Asher Weiss, and so much more.

Virtual classes and programs continue throughout the weeks at the Stella K. Abraham High School for Girls with exceptional chaburahs, art projects, cooking lessons, and book clubs enhancing the school experience.

This past Monday evening, HALB held a virtual Science Fair, displaying the independent research projects of its 8^th grade students. There was a broad range of project topics, from testing for bacteria to engineering innovations. The participants were chosen based on the quality of their research and their prior in-class presentations of their results to their peers. The participants were:

The Yeshiva of Central Queens gratefully acknowledges the Names, Not Numbers© program that has taught our students about the Holocaust through the accounts of eyewitnesses, provided them with interviewing, filming, and editing skills, and, most importantly, enabled meaningful relationships to be forged between the survivors and our students.

MTA’s Shavuos programming provided a much-needed opportunity for talmidim, parents, alumni, and rebbeim to learn together and prepare for Yom Tov. The yeshivah hosted an exciting Tikun Leil Erev Shavuos learning program from Wednesday night, May 27, through 2:00 am on Thursday, May 28.

Yeshivos and day schools are being so creative to make students feel connected to school. On Rosh Chodesh Sivan, thanks to the PA, Bais Yaakov Academy of Queens girls were treated to boxes of mini-doughnuts. The girls ventured to the closest pick-up point, any one of nine homes throughout the Queens and Long Island communities.
