Weekly walks are resuming in Great Neck, every Sunday, to raise awareness about the Israeli hostages still held in Gaza. “Run for Their Lives” is a movement founded by a group of Israelis in the Bay Area in California, in collaboration with the “Hostage and Missing Families Forum (#BringThemHomeNow).” However, local events are independently led by dedicated community leaders in several neighborhoods - in Great Neck, thanks to the efforts of Michael Reznik and Irina Amir.

On Sunday, March 30, the walks - which begun in October 2023 - were relaunched by Great Neck residents, with members of the Hindu community from NYC joining us, including Pankaj Mehta from “Americans 4 Hindus.” Nassau County Legislator Mazi Pilip, NYS Assemblyman Daniel Norber, Jewish activist and longtime “Run for Their Lives” supporter, Andrew Zeidman, and Dr. Paul Brody, ZOA President Long Island & Queens led the marchers from the gazebo in the Village Green down the main thoroughfare on Middle Neck Road, to raise consciousness about the hostages among myriad onlookers. Members of the Great Neck community and those outside of the community are urged to join in the weekly march, will resume the Sunday after Pesach at 10:30 a.m. at various locations across Great Neck.
