On Sunday, June 9, Chazaq hosted an exhilarating basketball tournament at Queens College, drawing a spirited crowd and fostering a sense of unity and excitement. The event kicked off at 10 a.m. and featured 20 teams with over 100 enthusiastic participants cheering them on.

The morning began with a delightful spread of bagels, followed by a delicious dairy lunch, setting the stage for a day filled with sportsmanship and camaraderie. The highlight of the day was the presence of guest star Ryan Turell from the NBA G League, who conducted clinics for the kids, posed for pictures, and signed autographs for fans.

Adding to the excitement was a special half-court challenge, where participants had the chance to showcase their skills. Each player received a special swag bag containing jerseys, shirts, and sweaters, making everyone feel like a winner. The victorious team members were awarded trophies, marking their achievement in the thrilling competition.

The event was not only about basketball but also about building community spirit. One participant shared their enthusiasm post-event, saying, "To many more events like this in the future, can’t wait for another tournament like this for next year." Another player expressed gratitude, stating, "Thank you very much to Chazaq. It was fun and exciting with a great turnout and a great event!"

The tournament was filled with achdus (unity), exemplifying Chazaq's commitment to bringing people together through engaging and meaningful activities. A special thank you to Natan Aboff, Chazaq’s Development Associate, for his tireless efforts to ensure the tournament's success.

Chazaq extends gratitude to Beehive for being the apparel sponsor and to Dailygiving, Aryeh & Co, and Margaret Tietz for their partnership.
