Bucking all national trends, Yeshiva University closed its academic year with record success including a great rise in undergraduate enrollment by 20 percent from fall 2021 to fall 2022. This upward trend is expected to continue in fall 2023, given that applications are up over 10 percent from last year. The competitiveness for entry has increased as well. Current applicants present strong academic achievements — with high GPAs, test scores and honors classes.

She became the first woman to lead the NYPD in January 2022, facing challenges such as the Covid pandemic, rising crime rates, and controversies surrounding the department.

Recap: The news about the planes hitting the World Trade Center and it being a terrorist attack are horrifying. Libby tries to reach Avi, who she knows was taking the girls to see the World Trade Center. Her parents-in-law and sister-in-law appear, and they are all beside themselves with worry. The differences between them are gone and they are all in this together. She finally hears from Avi, and he and the girls are miraculously fine. Then, Grandma Bea tells her that she wants to tell her something.

Recap: Libby is listening to the news and hears that a plane hit the World Trade Center. The announcer is crying when he says a second plane hit the World Trade Center. Libby realizes that Avi was going to take the girls there. She tries calling his phone but there is no answer.

 Pro-Israel groups and Jewish allies are calling for the defunding of City University of New York’s (CUNY) public law school after a graduating student, Fatima Mousa Mohammed, delivered a commencement speech accusing Israel of indiscriminate violence against Palestinians. Mohammed also labeled laws as “white supremacy” and criticized the “fascist” nature of the NYPD and U.S. military. She celebrated CUNY Law’s support for the anti-Israel BDS movement and praised the school for endorsing it. The speech was initially taken down from YouTube but was later reinstated due to public outcry. Pro-Israel groups condemned Mohammed’s speech, accusing her of promoting anti-Semitic tropes, and called for the defunding of CUNY Law.
