On Sunday, a group of 20 Senators - 10 Democrats and 10 Republicans - revealed a framework for a gun control bill.  While not the sweeping legislation that activists desire, this legislation is the closest thing to a compromise on guns that has occurred in Washington in decades.  Like everything coming out of Capitol Hill, there’s the good, the bad, and the ugly. 

A furniture manufacturer depends on the steady supply of lumber to ensure cost-efficient products. The lumber market, which is heavily regulated by the federal government, depends on a friendly environment to determine prices not only today, but for the next 5 to 10 years.

Republican candidates for Governor of New York squared off on Monday night, making their cases to win the primary vote to be held on June 28.  Congressman Lee Zeldin, former Westchester Executive Rob Astorino, Businessman Harry Wilson, and Andrew Giuliani had many differences over the evening, but one message was clear: New York can no longer afford to be a one-party state.

On the same day that New York Governor Kathy Hochul reaffirmed her stance against anti-Semitism and BDS at the American Jewish Committee’s Global Forum on the Upper East Side, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis also appeared in the news for his attendance at a different Jewish event, but in a negative light.

Tragedy struck again, this time in Texas.  Like many other times before, the vultures descended on the victims, piling them up high to create a stage for their political purposes.  They stand upon this stage not to make societal change, but to anger enough people to swing the electorate in their favor.
