What will finally make you happy? Winning lotto? Is your dream to one day win Lotto, but you never buy lottery tickets? I know. The lottery keeps giving your money to someone else. Fur coats, jewelry, a luxury car? What’s your pleasure? More money? In the words of Jackie Mason: “Money is not the most important thing in the world. Love is. Fortunately, I love money.”

How do you prioritize the things on your To-Do list? What’s that? Everything seems so utterly urgent? Well, look at it this way: If it’s important enough, you will find a way. If not, you’ll find an excuse. I know. I made a huge To-Do list today. I just can’t figure out who’s going to do it. Come to think of it, it kind of consists of everything from my To-Do list yesterday.

“Do good, and good will come to you.” Do you believe that? Do you trust that you somehow get punished for doing a good deed? Don’t most of us believe that helping others is actually a path to spirituality and even personal happiness? In fact, volunteering and doing others favors has proven to increase our health, helps us feel socially connected and purposeful.

Do you feel emotionally safe with your friends or loved ones? Is there anyone you can be truly open and vulnerable with? No one wants to be judged. I don’t understand why judges even get paid so much. People judge me for free. Ouch. While it’s tempting to evaluate and rule on others, remember that we all sin differently.

We all crave emotional support at times. When was the last time you benefited from receiving advice? Did you actually feel better after her encouragement? Did his guidance make you feel more competent?

What are the unique talents and strengths that you can offer our beleaguered world? Hey, I have lots of hidden talents. The trouble is they’re so hidden, even I can’t find them. Sharing your savvy or smarts with others is an expression of love.
