 This week, New York State Attorney General Letitia James filed a lawsuit against Governor Andrew Cuomo for massively undercounting the nursing home deaths that occurred due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The suit came as a shock to many New Yorkers who have been idolizing Cuomo this past year. Anyone who was watching alternative media sources, however, was aware of this “news” for months already.

Over the next few days, we will have a chance to elect a true friend of our community to the City Council, to fight back against the anti-Semitic Left’s attempt to build political power and to show how the new system of ranked choice voting can help us to elect candidates who are more representative of the public and more attuned to our concerns. We can accomplish all those things by voting early between now and January 31 or going to our regular polling places on Tuesday, February 2, and casting our #1 votes for Jim Gennaro. President Joe Biden began his term as President last week to much of the fanfare of the media. Many “objective” journalists were gushing about the “return to normalcy” that is occurring. By “normalcy” they must mean an era where, when the President lied and abused power, those falsehoods and scandals were ignored by the media. However, the American people deserve to have a record of what is occurring during the Biden administration.

 I am very pleased that the Queens Jewish Link is not a monolithic paper, like most of today’s media. It publishes articles on all sides of the spectrum, even those with which I’m sure most of its readers would disagree. But that does not mean that we cannot take serious issue with those articles and its authors.

The world has seen a plethora of leaders maintaining their position for many years, but in recent history, only a few of them have been able to reset the course of the world through their everlasting courage.

By the time this article is published, the Presidency of Donald J. Trump will be over. For many on the conservative Right, whether they agreed or disagreed with Trump on a variety of issues, this is the end of federal conservative policies for at least two years, likely longer. Many articles were written last week that the American Orthodox Jewish community needs to reckon with its support for the President. This is not necessary, as Trump’s successes need not be forgiven, and his failures need not be apologized for by his voters.
