Normally, in an arts and crafts activity, you make something and keep it for yourself. Well, for Purim, v’nahafoch hu means you make something and give it away.
Wednesday nights are buzzing with the energy and excitement of animated Torah study as Emet Outreach’s TorahConnect is once again in full swing. Held at Beth Gavriel, the men’s installment of this popular program has been drawing a weekly crowd of over 70 participants for chavrusa-style learning.
Rav Shmaryahu Yosef Chaim Kanievsky, one of the generation’s leading Lithuanian Torah scholars, passed away at his home in Bnei Brak on Shushan Purim (March 18). He was 94 years old.
On Tuesday evening, March 8, the Navigating the Medical System Lecture Series featured an important virtual lecture hosted by Congregation Etz Chaim on cardiac testing. Dr. Mel Breite, Founder and Director of the Navigating the Medical System Lecture Series, welcomed everyone. He shared that this is a two-part lecture. The second one will be given on Tuesday evening, April 5, and that lecture will focus on women’s cardiac disease.
Due to the massive number of people requiring urgent evacuation and lacking the means to do so, the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce along with its partners in Ukraine have created the very first emergency evacuation fleet transporting people under fire from the front lines of fighting in Ukraine.
On Sunday evening, March 6, Chazaq hosted a virtual emergency chizuk and T’hilim event for the situation in Ukraine. Robbie Aboff, Events Coordinator of Chazaq, greeted everyone and introduced the speakers.
