Some of the most complex cases we handle at our firm, Wisselman Harounian & Associates, involve “premeditated divorce planning.” These are cases where one spouse undermines his or her unsuspecting partner by hiding away assets for months and even years before the proceedings start.  Usually, this individual has more control over the income and assets of the family and is the main financial decision maker, whereas, the unsuspecting spouse is “in the dark” about the party’s financial circumstances.

Many New Yorkers are beginning to think about summer vacations. Traveling can be hectic and even stressful, but for passengers with disabilities, the prospect of air travel can be truly daunting. However, a recently enacted law may provide a new measure of comfort to passengers with physical limitations.

1. As always, plan your meals ahead of time. If you are eating at home, this is even easier. If you are eating out and feel comfortable enough, find out what is on the menu and make your choices ahead of time. *The general rule is: one plate with one serving of protein (or a combo of two), one (small) serving of starch (unless you’re having challah), and lots of vegetables. Dessert can be a fruit (fruit salad, sugar-free compote, low-calorie ices, etc.).
