Scene 3, Take 3…
Picture this: The National Weather Service has predicted the blizzard of the century (for any centenarians out there, a second century): high winds, plunging temperatures, tons of snow (sorry kids, Zoom school is in session… <cue evil music>).
Eisav’s game was
To Yitzchak’s taste;
But being blind,
Yitzchak couldn’t see his face.
Recap: Some unsavory visitors in a car with tinted windows came to Shoshana Rosa’s house to do business with her father. She overhears her father telling her mother that he is planning a trip to China. She doesn’t want her father to go there. China is a dangerous place to visit.
Scene 2, Take 2
As we settle into the cold winter months, nothing is more satisfying after a long day than a good meal, a stimulating shiur, a bit of chilling with family, and finally hitting the sack.
There’s something wrong with me. Why can’t I just be like everyone else? If I wasn’t so incapable, I wouldn’t be in this mess. It’s hopeless. I’m always going to be miserable.
Recap: Shoshana dreads going to a computer coding class, which will be filled with super-smart girls. However, she has to go to please her mother. She isn’t good at technology or math. She meets a friend, Penina, who is also there for her own reasons and also isn’t good at those subjects.
