This past Thursday, Rosh Chodesh Kislev, the YTM kindergarten boys were very excited to welcome their mommies to yeshivah for a special "Mommy & Me Chanukah Workshop." The program began with the boys and their mommies singing, clapping, and dancing along with the yeshivah's resident music teacher, Morah Rena Greenberg. Afterward, everyone enjoyed decorating cookies, making keychains, and creating picture frames. The boys were so excited to show their mommies their yeshivah and spend some special time together. A great time was had by all.

The eighth grade at the Bnos Malka Academy has embarked on a meaningful and inspirational journey this year. The students are working with Names, Not Numbers INC©: an interactive, multi-media Holocaust project created by educator Tova Fish-Rosenberg.

The entire student body and staff of Hadar Bet Yaakov of Fresh Meadows came together for two days of collaborative achdus in this past week’s “Hadar Is Raising the Bar!” Charidy campaign. Students and teachers stayed late into the night, working their way through phone lists to share the HBY experience with the public. Earlier in the day, principals reviewed the basics of phone etiquette and gave everyone a pep talk, explaining that the most anyone can ever do is simply be positive and try her best. As long as the girls held on to those two principles, they would do fine in fundraising.

It would be an understatement to say that SKAbatton 2022 was a blast! The school-wide Shabbaton of the Stella K. Abraham High School for Girls took place on Friday, November 18, with an unforgettable Shabbos followed by GVG (grade vs. grade) on Motza’ei Shabbos and concluded on Sunday, November 20. SKA’s Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, faculty, and staff were a perfect combination for an amazing time to be had by all!

We often hear about tributes to special teachers, both moros and rebbeim. There are, baruch Hashem, so many outstanding people who serve the Jewish youth of our communities. The students of Ezra Academy put together an unbelievable week of tribute to one of their most beloved moros. While she has been unable to teach classes since the beginning of the school year, the impact she has had on the students over the last several years has left an indelible impression.
