Laura Trump, Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, was recently appointed as co-chair of the Republican National Committee. She thought that it would be an innovative idea to change the name to the President Donald Trump National Committee to increase donations. The new name would state the reality that Donald Trump is in control of the Republican Party. His handpicked people are now in charge of the RNC, and all of the money is going to his campaign and to pay his legal costs. There was opposition by the Benedict Arnold Project, Republicans against Trump (RAT), and Americans Not Trump Supporters (ANTS). Donald Trump called them traitors, rodents, and vermin. The motion passed and the name was changed.

This 13th of Adar, (traditionally Ta’anis Esther, Erev Purim), marks the 20th Yarzheit of our dear Rabbi Dr. Ephraim R. Wolf, HaRav Ephraim Reuven ben Nachum Chaim zt״l. The modern Orthodox community in Great Neck was shaped by him.

On Tuesday, March 12, an extremely meaningful Career Readiness Workshop, sponsored by Project Lead, took place at Simcha Palace in Kew Gardens Hills. Over 100 participants attended the extremely informative and engaging event. The presenters included Dr. Inessa Kandov, DDS, a Board-Certified specialist in orthodontics= and dental facial orthopedics; Rebbetzin Ora Nisanov, Director of Medical Records and Health Information Manager at Union Plaza Care Center in Flushing; Miriam Friedman, Director, NYC FACTS Educational Solutions; Irina Yadgarova, an accomplished attorney focusing on trusts and estates, probates, and administration and elder law; and Channah Ginsburg, MSW, community outreach and clinician at Met Council's Family Violence Services program. All of the talented and inspiring presenters discussed their careers, their education, and the balance between family and career. The group then broke into five different workshop groups, which were extremely well-received. In addition, Sara Castelli brought greetings from Councilwoman Lynn Schulman.

A lively energy was in the air this past Sunday, March 17, throughout the Kew Gardens and Richmond Hill Jewish communities as the local Pirchei hosted a Purim mesibah at Khal Adas Yereim of Kew Gardens with the participation of over 100 local yeshivah boys.
