Purim spirit was definitely in the air at the Stella K. Abraham High School for Girls the week of February 21. With a hilarious costume contest on Tuesday and a Dress Up Decades Day on Wednesday, SKA students proved they are extraordinarily creative. Contributing to the lighthearted festive atmosphere, several SKA faculty members dressed as they did in high school while many girls continued wearing Purim garb the rest of the week!

Mrs. Rivki Morel was born with cystic fibrosis and has lived a life of struggle, hardship, transformation, and optimism all rolled into one. As a life’s mission, she has undertaken to take her message of emunah to the wider Jewish community and graciously came to Shevach High School on Monday, February13, to speak to its students and staff as part of that mission.

This past Sunday, HALB sixth grade girls celebrated the milestone of becoming b’nos mitzvah with their parents and teachers. The program began with Rabbi Fogel, Middle School Principal of Limudei Kodesh, running a workshop on T’filah. Then they enjoyed a delicious breakfast, while hearing powerful words of Torah from HALB’s Head of School, Rabbi Englander, as well as from some of the b’nos mitzvah.

Walking into Yeshiva Tiferes Moshe this past Monday, one could feel Tu Bi’Shvat in the air. The front lobby was decorated with adorable pictures of the kindergarten and Pre-1A boys artistically pretending to be trees. This was the beginning of a really exciting day.
