SKA Ninth Graders and Lev Chana pre-schoolers came together for the SKA/Lev Chana Makos Program, one of the most popular student activities of the year! The SKA auditorium was filled with the happy voices of teens and tots on Monday, March 27, as the two groups sat on the floor in animated discussion.

The Ezra Legal Eagle Society was established 23 years ago. Its goal was to promote legal education in the high school classroom. In its inception, the program required that students take at least four law-related classes and participate in at least one NYS Bar Association-recognized extra-curricular activity.

Leading up to Pesach, Shaar Lev students created differentiated Haggadahs based on their ages and abilities, so that every child will have a place at the Seder table! Shaar Lev is committed to providing local community children with learning needs, who attend public school, the opportunity to access a real yeshivah education.

Jerusalem’s hills are breathtaking, which 18 North Shore Hebrew Academy High School students now know better than most, after experiencing them during Jerusalem’s annual marathon.

This March, NSHAHS sent their eighth group of runners to Israel as part of a fundraiser for Shalva, an Israeli organization for children with special needs.

Yeshiva of Central Queens students had the opportunity to spend the day giving back to the community and doing chesed. With Pesach rapidly approaching, Junior High School students gave their time and effort to help bring joy and connect with others.

Grade 6 had the opportunity to learn from Mrs. Elana Kaplan about the “Art of Ancient Egypt” on Wednesday, March 22. Mrs. Kaplan is an educator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and taught students about hieroglyphics and sculpting. Everyone had a great time following the hieroglyphics chart and sculpting mini-versions of ancient Egyptians’ belongings. What a fitting activity with Pesach approaching!
