Colors: Blue Color

Rambam Mesivta held its annual scholarship dinner this year to celebrate its honorees, Brian and Sharon Duftler (Guests of Honor), Ben Diamond (Man of the Year), Rabbi Dr. Elie and Aliza Feder (Parents of the Year), as well as Yoni Miller (class of 2003) and Raphi Cooper (class of 2013) as Alumni of the Year. The dinner took place at the Sephardic Temple in Cedarhurst and was emceed by Rabbi Pinny Rosenthal, a five-time alumni parent.

Green was the dominant color in the halls of the Stella K. Abraham High School for Girls on Tuesday, April 25, in recognition of and solidarity with Israel and Yom HaZikaron. The observance of Israel’s Memorial Day at SKA was an inspiring way to acknowledge the contributions of the thousands of Israeli soldiers who gave their lives defending the State of Israel, and to mourn with the families of those who lost loved ones to terror.

The Yeshiva of Central Queens celebrated Yom HaAtzmaut and commemorated Yom HaZikaron with a bevy of meaningful programming, speakers, and activities throughout the week.

The first taste of the jam-packed schedule began on Friday, April 21, when the Junior High School had the incredible opportunity to hear from Sivan Rahav-Meir, a renowned Israeli journalist and lecturer. She gave an inspiring talk, sharing her personal story, the beauty of Shabbos, and finding one’s purpose in life.

On Sunday, MTA welcomed the incoming class of 2027 for their first day in yeshivah together. During their morning in MTA, the incoming talmidim had the opportunity to meet each other, formally, as future classmates. It was an exciting morning, and the yeshivah can’t wait to greet this incredible group for their first official day of yeshivah in the fall.
