This past week, Shevach High School students were privileged to hear words of inspiration in these trying times from Mrs. Shaindy Kappel, founder of Aneinu and creator of the T’hilim M’chulak booklets. Thanks to Mrs. Kappel’s creative thinking and desire to help bring a y’shuah to a friend in need, these booklets were crafted and are regularly used across the globe. Now, many women around the world not only say T’hilim regularly, but they can collectively say the entire sefer in a short amount of time.

Lev Chana has already begun their Chanukah workshops. Each morning, another class invites their parents in for a special presentation of songs followed by Chanukah crafts. The children and parents all have a great time singing and doing arts and crafts together!

The March for Israel in Washington, DC, was an unforgettable experience. Although it was a bit of a challenge to get there, it was a wonderful display of unity. It really was so meaningful to see Jews from all the different schools and in fact all kinds of Jews. The sheer volume was awesome. As it said on the March for Israel website, it really was a “march for Israel, a march to free hostages and a march against anti-Semitism.”

This past Thursday, the Kindergarten boys at Yeshiva Tiferes Moshe were very excited to welcome their mommies to Yeshiva for a special pre-Chanukah workshop. The program began with the boys and their mommies singing, clapping, and dancing along with their music teacher, Morah Rena Greenberg.

HALB students created hakaras ha’tov posters for local businesses that have shown their support for Israel. A few students and a teacher then went around town delivering them. Students went to Dunkin Donuts, Zoe & Co, Gifts and Crafts, and Jildor. The manager at Dunkin Donuts was so touched, he insisted on giving the girls doughnuts with an Israeli star!

The boys in Rabbi Pollak’s fourth grade class at Yeshiva Tiferes Moshe are learning up a storm. They almost finished Parshas Sh’mos and look forward to the siyum and starting the next parshah. They have completed the first perek of Mishnayos B’rachos and have moved on to the next perek.
