Pre-1A through Second Grade focused on communities for their Social Studies focus this year, and their learning proved so much fun that they wanted to share the day with parents and friends!

It wasn’t just an open house; Hadar Bet Yaakov had an inaugural Open House Event where prospective parents enjoyed a hot schnitzel and bourekas buffet, warm cookie selections, as well as a program of rabbanim and political leaders to usher in Queens’ first Sefardi Bet Yaakov.

Twenty-six students inducted into the National Honor Society

On Tuesday evening, December 3, HANC High School held its 44th National Honor Society Induction Ceremony, honoring its current members of this prestigious organization and welcoming 26 inductees into the Maalot Chapter. Members of the Honor Society must maintain a 92 average and represent excellence in Torah, scholarship, service, character, and leadership.

On Shabbos, Parshas VaYishlach, the JHS girls from the Yeshiva of Central Queens had their annual Shabbaton. The girls in grades 6 through 8, along with staff and alumni chaperones, davened and had breakfast at YCQ before heading upstate New York for a Shabbaton filled with ruach, friendship, and spirituality.

Yeshiva Tiferes Moshe’s first grade celebrated a very exciting milestone: the receiving of their first Chumash. The talmidim, together with their rebbeim, grandparents, and parents, shared this very moving experience at Ner Mordechai / Shaarei Tova on Sunday morning, December 15.
