The book, One Day in October: Forty Heroes, Forty Stories, by Yair Agmon and Oriya Mevorach, is a powerful tribute to the people in Eretz Yisrael who demonstrated pure ahavas Yisrael on the highest level.
On Monday night, October 7, the community gathered at Congregation Ahavas Yisrael for an Aseres Y’mei T’shuvah Kinus Hisorerus, which included three inspirational speakers and a siyum Shishah Sidrei Mishnah in memory of the k’doshim murdered on Sh’mini Atzeres/Simchas Torah 5784.
On Wednesday night, October 30, Emet Outreach mentors for TorahConnect met at the Emet Outreach office in Hillcrest for a beautiful orientation meeting. Emet Outreach recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. It was founded in Queens and is co-directed by Rabbi Mordechai Kraft and Rabbi Akiva Rutenberg.
On Tuesday night, October 1, Chazaq hosted an emergency T’hilim and chizuk virtual program for the situation in Eretz Yisrael. The program included three inspiring speakers and the reciting of T’hilim.

On Sunday night, September 29, Let’s Get Real with Coach Menachem hosted Rabbi Benzion Twerski, Rav of Congregation Beth Jehudah in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Rabbi Twerski spoke about preparing for Rosh HaShanah by truly seeking meaning in life.
