Over $11 Million in New Grants and Interest-Free Loans
Ensure That Critical Community Services Continue

In response to the enduring and urgent needs related to COVID-19, UJA-Federation of New York on Tuesday announced more than $11 million in emergency grants and interest-free loans from its endowment to support local and international communities. This latest round of emergency funding by UJA will provide financial relief to New York’s Jewish community centers (JCCs) and partner organizations in Israel so they can continue to offer critical services to their communities. With today’s added funding, UJA to date has allocated $64 million for COVID relief since March 2020, above and beyond its more than $130 million in annual budgeted allocations.

The Queens community is blessed by an incredible organization that doesn’t let anything – not anything – stop its overflowing love for the Jewish community and its mission: always looking for a need in klal Yisrael and seeking to fill it.

Next Wednesday evening, in the backyard of Kew Gardens Hills residents Shmuel and Rivka Kazarnovsky, Avi Cyperstein will be welcoming friends and neighbors to an important fundraiser.

The s’farim ha’k’doshim bring down how it’s a very auspicious time to gaze at the eight flames and daven from your heart. The day is m’sugal for one to daven for barren women to have children, for a r’fuah sh’leimah, and for one to be blessed with increased parnasah.
