It was amazing – a lifetime experience! Dr. Adam Zeitlin, a well-known physician in Kew Gardens Hills, ran the New York City Marathon’s 26.2-mile course this past Sunday, November 6, and finished number 29,256 out of 47,745 runners. “It was phenomenal!” He shared. You traverse through all five boroughs and cross five bridges, and there are thousands of people cheering.

On Wednesday, November 9, the Coalition for Jewish Values (CJV), representing over 2,000 traditional, Orthodox rabbis in matters of public policy, called upon American Jewish and other leaders to “respect the Israeli public and their democratic voice.” This came after Mercaz Olami, the Zionist arm of the Conservative Jewish movement worldwide, called upon the presumptive next Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, to exclude Israeli politician Itamar Ben-Gvir from any ministerial position, though Ben-Gvir’s party will be the second largest in Netanyahu’s coalition.
Israel’s Ashkenazic Chief Rabbi David Lau, seated, addressed, and responded to topical questions from representatives of the Great Neck community at the invitation of Chabad of Great Neck’s Rabbi Yossi and Chani Geisinsky on Thursday evening, November 3. During the day, the Chief Rabbi, escorted by Rabbi Tenenboim of the Chabad of Hewlett, visited Chabad’s Silverstein Hebrew Academy, SHA. Rabbi Lau was joined by Ariel Elmaliach, mayor of Eli in the Shomron; Dr. Pedram Bral, mayor of the Village of Great Neck; Dr. Paul Brody, Great Neck activist; and Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Geisinsky of the Chabad of Great Neck in his private study.
