I feel like Father’s Day and Mother’s Day are both in that category of “non-Jewish holidays that many of us don’t officially celebrate, but we also don’t officially not celebrate.” Mother’s Day in particular.

About once a year, give or take, I write an article about food trends. Yidden are not really ones to keep up with trends, but they are when it’s about food.
So every year, for the past 17 years or so, I’ve been going to a food show called Kosherfest, which took place every November during flu season, and scoping out new products and saying, “I guess these must be the trends!”
Ever since I started writing these articles about my personal Yom Tov minhagim, I’ve been surprised by how many people tell me they have the same exact minhagim, despite that no sefer that I’ve seen mentions any of them.
With congestion pricing going into effect, more and more people are taking the public transportation into the city (Manhattan). Just all those people on a bus, sharing fumes. Talk about congestion.
