Dear Editor:

 For the first two days of Pesach, my husband and I were zocheh to be able to spend the Yom Tov with our children in New Jersey. What impressed me the most (aside from my grandchildren’s rendition of the Haggadah) was the friendliness of the community.

 Everyone knows that the essence of Pesach is the asking of the Four Questions and beyond. Therefore, I have another query to add to the list: Why are prices on Main Street and Kissena Boulevard so exorbitant? Is a z’roa, which has little to no meat on it, really $6?

 I agree that there are many problems with a permanent Daylight Saving Time, and that it probably shouldn’t be implemented. However, Izzo Zwiren’s assertion that we should instead switch to permanent standard time makes no sense, as doing so would cause significant issues with z’manim for davening.

Dear Editor:

 Last week, klal Yisrael was thrust into mourning after the p’tirah of the Sar HaTorah, HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky zt”l. He was the undisputed Gadol HaDor, whose word was final on any sh’eilos in halachah or hashkafah. It is impossible to even come close to understanding the breadth and depth of his vast Torah knowledge.

 I don’t quite understand Izzo Zwiren’s report card of Joe Biden. He gave President Biden a thumbs down on everything except foreign affairs, which he gave him both a thumbs up and a thumbs down!

 To all the people who persistently criticize and vilify former President Trump, perhaps some serious soul searching is now in order. As the bloody war in Ukraine escalates, is it not improbable that the Russian invasion may have been aborted if Donald Trump was President? Mr. Trump, a mercurial, dynamic, and volatile leader, who once threatened to nuke the Taliban, may have caused Mr. Putin sufficient uncertainty as to the American response to an invasion as to force its cancellation.
