On Tuesday evening, April 9, members of the community experienced a comprehensive important lecture from the Navigating the Medical System Lecture Series at Congregation Etz Chaim on the topic of Understanding Heart Arrhythmias, Valve Replacement, and Updates in Treatment. David Slotwiner, MD, FACC, FHRS, Chief of Division of Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell, shared lots of valuable information about the latest in treating arrhythmias. He pointed out, “There are a lot of new treatments in arrhythmia and valve replacement.”

Over Chol HaMoed Sukkos, MTA filled homes and sukkahs across the tri-state area and beyond with the joy, warmth, and inspiration of Yom Tov. Through an incredible lineup of Tikun Leil Hoshana Rabbah and Simchas Beis HaSho’eivah events, the yeshivah ensured that every talmid could experience the ruach of MTA wherever he spent Sukkos.

For two years, students and faculty at HALB have come together to daven for the release of the hostages. Last week, all students and faculty from first through eighth grade joined together to daven, sing, and dance to celebrate all the living hostages coming home. It was an incredibly powerful and moving experience, filled with simchah!
