Mrs. Aliza Goldstein’s class hosted an outstanding lemonade stand for the community to support IVDU LI. The students shopped for all the ingredients, picking out snacks that others would enjoy, and getting lessons on how to pick the juiciest lemon. They then squeezed the lemons to make the lemonade, followed a recipe to create the deliciously refreshing lemonade that they then sold.

Jewish Communal Fund (JCF) of New York, the largest and most active Jewish donor advised fund in the country, approved nearly $700,000 in charitable grants to Jewish charities through its endowment, the JCF Special Gifts Fund.

Graduating from medical school is no small feat, and neither is being a mother. Alexandra Friedman, who excelled at both, just graduated from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine (TouroCOM). Her husband, Yosef, and her 10 young children celebrated her accomplishments by her side.

This past Wednesday night, over 200 participants tuned in live to a special town hall for the Far Rockaway and Five Towns communities to learn more about COVID-19 vaccines.
