At the Yeshiva University High School for Girls (Central), academic excellence takes many forms. From inspired coursework to programs that let students explore their passions in depth, YUHSG’s signature initiatives invite students to explore, question, and create.
This past Sunday, Yeshiva Primary hosted its Open House, which was an absolutely delightful event with delicious food, fun activities and games, and a raffle for a special prize.
Last week was filled with the delicious smell of challah as everyone baked in honor of the parshah. At Lev Chana, many classes baked challah and learned about the special mitzvah of Hafrashas Challah. HALB’s Shaar Lev program held its own beautiful program. Shaar Lev meets after school and is for special needs students who attend public school. It gives them an opportunity to learn with moros and rebbeim when they are finished with their regular school day.
This past Tuesday, the entire teaching staff of Bnos Malka Academy in grades 1-8 came together for a differentiated day of learning. While some staff members learned how to implement Think SRSD, an exceptional writing and critical thinking program, others learned about Retrieval Practice and the role it plays in helping students retain material and gain deeper understanding.
