Eden Hills is an exciting new yishuv that is finally welcoming its first residents. The opportunity to live in a small-town setting in nature, yet close to the communal infrastructure of Beit Shemesh, has made Eden Hills a destination for many families.
Recap: Hope accompanies Rivkah to the store to buy some ingredients for Shabbos. When they are there, a woman stops them and asks Rivkah to come to her house to help get her daughter to take her medicine. Rivkah doesn’t want to leave Hope alone, but Hope says she isn’t afraid to walk back alone. As she heads back to the Jacobson house, a car screeches to a halt. A man jumps out and pushes her into the back seat.

In a burst of legislative activity, Governor Kathy Hochul signed and vetoed a total of 85 bills in the final days of 2023. Notable among these actions was the signing of a bill requiring limited liability corporations (LLCs) to disclose their owners, aimed at increasing transparency, particularly in sectors like real estate.

On New Year’s Day, anti-Israel protesters caused traffic disruptions at John F. Kennedy International Airport during the “Flood JFK For Gaza” protest organized by Palestinian-led activist group Within Our Lifetime. Demonstrators yelled inflammatory chants, temporarily blocking the Belt Parkway and causing chaos.
