Central was very proud to send its own delegation to the AIPAC Policy Conference in Washington DC this past week. Under the leadership of Mrs. Audi Hecht, two seniors and four juniors – Marsha Joseph, Olivia Peller, Rachel Rumstein, Meira Saffra, Eytana Schick, and Rina Shamilov – joined 4,000 other students in making up nearly a quarter of the total conference attendees. At AIPAC, our students learned extensively about the US-Israel relationship and how vital it is to both the United States and Israel’s strategic interests and about the unique kinship the nations share. The students had an opportunity to hear from a wide array of presenters, including United States political leaders, such as Vice President Mike Pence, US Representative Nancy Pelosi, Senator Mitch McConnell, Senator Chuck Schumer, former Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley, and many others who affirmed their staunch commitment to the US-Israel alliance.

Last week’s political news understandably focused on Attorney General Tish James’ report on the allegations against Governor Andrew Cuomo. But for those of us interested in a strong US-Israel relationship, there was another political development of even greater importance.

A return to normalcy was the stated goal of the Biden campaign, and the media is eager to comply. In a “normal” Washington, the supposed firefighters of the truth forget that they have a job and a duty to the American people. Between 2009 and 2016, the media’s main job was to create a fictional President named Barack Obama who was good at his job, as opposed to the actual Barack Obama who was anything but. Now that they deemed Biden the winner of the 2020 election (despite the fact that ongoing lawsuits and lack of concession or certification mean that he is not yet President-Elect), the media are ready to “return to normalcy,” which is being the lapdog of the Democrats.

At the time of this writing, there is no certified winner of the 2020 presidential election. Do not inform the Democrats, the media, or Big Tech, however, as they are inappropriately referring to Joe Biden as “President-Elect” while there is pending legal action in multiple states. If President Trump should end his tenure after one term, it will be the most accomplished term in decades, and truly shows what America would lose with him out of the White House.

Governor Andrew Cuomo, Mayor Bill de Blasio, Attorney General Letitia James, and others have been named as defendants in a lawsuit filed by Bais Yaakov Ateres Miriam (BYAM) of Far Rockaway. The suit claims that Cuomo has violated their constitutional rights and specifically targeted the Orthodox Jewish community when implementing his latest series of lockdowns.

“That’s a nice country you have there. It would be a shame if something happened to it.”

The mafia tactics of the Left have broken out into mayhem around the country. Minneapolis, Portland, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Kenosha, and many other cities have experienced rioting, looting, arson, and murder on their streets committed by Antifa and the Black Lives Matter movement. The message is simple: “Vote the way we want or we burn it down.” This message has been cultivated by the Democratic Party for years, well before Donald Trump.
