Yeshiva University’s new entry-level doctorate in occupational therapy, offered by the Katz School of Science and Health, can be completed in less than three years with just a bachelor’s degree; and graduates will be eligible to sit for the national certification examination sponsored by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.

Earlier this week, the Daf Yomi world made the siyum on Maseches Eiruvim. This is an opportunity to look back at the historic role Queens played in paving the way for the establishment of eiruvim throughout America and to remember the work of some of the people who made it possible.

In T’hilim, Psalm 27, David HaMelech beseeches, “Let me dwell in the House of Hashem all the days of my life, behold the pleasantness of Hashem, and to visit in His Sanctuary.” How can David HaMelech live somewhere permanently and yet merely be a visitor? Rabbi Zvi Sobolofsky explains that David HaMelech is asking Hashem to help him always have the excitement of a first-time experience when he serves Hashem. David HaMelech desires to be a dweller all of his days but yet never lose the passion of a visitor.

Kew Gardens Hills and the surrounding neighborhoods have been the subject of shutdowns and restrictions over the last number of weeks. As has been well publicized, these “red zones” were in predominantly Orthodox Jewish areas in a target from the presiding New York governor against these communities. The mandate caused those business operations deemed nonessential to shut down, a major blow, especially to those unable to conduct online sales. The current trajectory predicts that the entire New York City will fall into an orange zone by the beginning of December. For the time being, much of the surrounding local areas fall into a yellow zone. Hence, many customers are often still reluctant to go out and shop.
