Colors: Blue Color

In this week’s parshah, Vayikra, the Torah discusses the various offerings one would bring to the Beis HaMikdash – the Holy Temple. In the opening paragraph, the Torah states: “When a man among you brings an offering to Gd, you should bring your offering from animals – from cattle or from flocks” (Vayikra 1:2). In Parshas Vayikra, Hashem’s closeness is revealed to us, and we learn how to maintain our relationship with Hashem and how to show our love toward him.

Network Ambassadors Program Leads Campus Visits for Legislators to Foster Awareness of Nonpublic School Education

The Yeshiva of Central Queens (YCQ) and leaders representing Teach NYS, an education advocacy group and division of the Orthodox Union’s Teach Coalition, recently hosted New York State Senator Leroy Comrie at a visit to the school.

Purim 2023 at the Young Israel of Jamaica Estates saw the community’s largest and most festive celebration ever! Purim night saw three packed minyanim for Megillah reading for all ages with Rabbi Dr. Dov Lerner presiding in the main sanctuary! An outdoor petting zoo and “Mordechai Pony Ride” sponsored by All My Children Daycare greeted young children as they arrived.
