This past week, MTA had the tremendous z’chus to celebrate with over 500 talmidim, rebbeim, faculty, parents, and grandparents at its annual Yeshiva-Wide Siyum and Seudas Preidah. The energy in the room was palpable as the yeshivah community came together to recognize and rejoice in the incredible Torah growth their talmidim achieved this year.
The evening began at the end of the yeshivah day as the entire yeshivah gathered in the Beis Medrash. Even after a full day of classes, the talmidim quickly came together to learn with their chavrusos and rebbeim. The Kol Torah reverberated throughout the building.
The Seudas Preidah and Siyum opened with divrei Torah from both talmidim and rebbeim, followed by siyumim on five different masechtos. It was a true simchas haTorah, punctuated by spirited dancing, an uplifting kumzitz, and a beautiful fleishig seudah. The yeshivah was especially proud of the 90 talmidim who completed an entire masechta—an inspiring accomplishment!
This year, MTA inaugurated a new yearly custom of completing Maseches Tamid l’zecher nishmas their dear talmid, Donny Morris z”l (‘20). When Donny was a talmid at MTA, he connected deeply to the learning of this masechta, and the yeshivah hopes to continue this learning in his memory.
The Seudas Preidah concluded with each Rebbe presenting his talmidim with personally inscribed seforim, creating a powerful and memorable moment that highlighted the deep relationships between the talmidim and their Rebbeim.
This special evening served as a beautiful reflection of the depth, commitment, and ruach that define Torah life at MTA.
