There was a palpable sense of achdus, hakaras ha’tov, and heartfelt camaraderie at the 29th Annual Dinner of the Bnos Malka Academy. Held on Monday, March 3, at Da Mikelle Palazzo, the evening brought together parents, faculty, and supporters to celebrate the remarkable impact of the school and to honor outstanding individuals whose dedication continues to shape both the Bnos Malka family and the wider community.
The program began with heartfelt T’hilim for Eretz Yisrael, led by Rabbi Herschel Welcher shlita, setting a meaningful and elevated tone for the evening. Menahel Rabbi Michael Weichselbaum then shared inspiring words of chizuk, reflecting on the unique role that Bnos Malka plays in the growth of its talmidos and the future of klal Yisrael.

Throughout the night, beautifully produced videos paid tribute to this year’s esteemed honorees:
Guests of Honor – Mr. and Mrs. Chaim and Rochie Rockoff
Parents of the Year – Mr. and Mrs. Avi and Daniela Appleman
Kesser Shem Tov Awardees – Mr. and Mrs. Alan and Marcia Hochster
Distinguished Faculty Member – Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Tropper

The honorees were recognized not only for their unwavering commitment and tireless efforts, but also for the genuine warmth and dedication they bring to Bnos Malka. As a token of appreciation, they were presented with an exclusive piece of art, thoughtfully designed by renowned artist – and Bnos Malka teacher – Mrs. Devora Rhodes.
A highlight of the evening was the feature presentation, themed “Where It All Starts,” which shone a spotlight on Bnos Malka alumnae. Through heartfelt interviews, they shared how the foundations built during their years at Bnos Malka – the lifelong friendships, the meaningful connections, and the invaluable lessons – continue to guide and inspire them today.
With hakaras ha’tov to all who contributed to this memorable evening, the 29th Annual Dinner served as a true celebration of the past, present, and future of Bnos Malka Academy – where it all starts.
