Last week, Chabad On Campus of Queens, under the leadership of shiluchim Rabbi Shaul and Mrs. Tzipah Wertheimer, hosted two soldiers from the IDF. Matan Roettger and Dana Ofir spoke to the students about how they were injured in a terrorist attack, and their long road to recovery.
Queens College students sat in rapt attention for over an hour, followed by a Q&A session. Rabbi Wertheimer introduced Matan and Dana, noting the hashgachah pratis, divine personal providence, to the parshah of the week, which discussed the proper conduct of a Jewish army during times of war.

“I can’t believe how incredible they are!” said Talia Krausz of Westchester. Indeed, to meet two young Jews who literally put their lives in the line to protect our People and our Land - and nearly died doing so - is incredibly inspiring.
With antisemitism on campuses on the rise, events like this do wonders to bolster Jewish pride.
Thank you to Belev Echad for bringing the soldiers on their campus tour, as well as ZOA and ICC for cosponsoring this event with Chabad.
